At the recent NAPPS Conference, I attended a session on canine nutrition that explored how diet affects coat condition, energy, nails, and overall health. While the talk focused on dogs, many of the same observational clues apply to cats. As pet professionals, we often notice subtle changes first, and those observations can help start important conversations about a pet’s health and nutrition.

Feeding multiple pets doesn't have to be chaotic! Create calm mealtimes with separate feeding areas, species-appropriate food, and consistent routines. Monitor portions, watch for food guarding, and use puzzle feeders to slow down fast eaters. A little structure goes a long way in keeping every pet happy and healthy!
